Just a bit about Me...
I graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science after studying History and Travel & Tourism. After a 7 month journey of traveling through parts of Asia, Australia and New Zealand, I returned home to Michigan.
In April of 2009, I graduated from the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy after completing the 800 required program hours and a GPA of 95.25%. I gained certification in Therapeutic/Swedish Massage, Myofascial Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Sports Massage Therapy. In addition, I have studied the basic skills in Reflexology, Shiatsu, Thai Massage, Reiki, and Seated Massage. I am a member of American Massage Therapy Association and support Michigans' decision to require massage therapists to hold a license. In December of 2009, I passed the NCBTMB exam and am recognized as a nationally certified massage therapist.
In August of 2011, I traveled to Thailand to continue studying Nuad Bo-Rarn, Northern Style Thai Massage and Thai Foot Reflexology at the International Training Massage School in Chiang Mai. Though I am currently trained and certified in Thai Massage, I will continue to study and practice Thai Massage and will be ready to introduce these modalities to my practice beginning January of 2012.
